How It Works
Site survey & accurate measuring
A joiner visits your property to check frame depth, reveal, floor finish and swing, then takes made-to-measure templates for bespoke doors or confirms sizing for standard units.
Supply & precision hanging
We craft or source the door to spec, set out hinge lines, cut and fit locks and thresholds, and hang the door with tight clearances so it sits true and operates smoothly.
Final adjustments & aftercare
Final planing, rebating and weatherproofing (for externals), on-site oiling or finishing, then a follow-up visit to fine-tune hinges, latches and seals if needed.

Doors built and fitted to suit the home. We install internal and external doors for period cottages, new builds and everything in between across Gloucestershire. From bespoke oak entrance doors with proper thresholds and draught sealing to shaker-style internal doors, we check jambs, linings and floor finishes before committing to a measure. Work includes cutting hinge mortices, fitting mortice or latches, trimming for carpet or tiles, and ensuring even stile-to-frame clearances so doors close without binding.
Finishing and aftercare from the same workshop. After fitting we carry out final sanding, sealing or traditional oiling on-site so the timber is protected against wet winters and drying summers. If a hinge needs adjusting or a lock plate requires fine-tuning we return for aftercare visits — we want timber to settle correctly and perform season after season.
