Bespoke Furniture

Bespoke Furniture
Wilkins Wood Workers designs and builds fully bespoke furniture for homes, barns and farm settings across Gloucestershire. Each piece is measured on site, hand-built in our farm workshop by qualified joiners and finished with traditional joinery details. We focus on durable timber choices and practical joinery that suit period cottages, new builds and agricultural conversions. Aftercare visits and re-finishing keep your furniture performing for years.

How It Works
Site survey & measure
We visit your home or barn, discuss layout and use, take detailed measurements and record access, timber preferences and finish options.
Design & workshop build
We produce simple drawings and confirm materials, then handcraft the piece in our farm workshop using traditional joints and robust construction.
Delivery, install & aftercare
We install on site, carry out final finishing (oiling or hardwax), and schedule follow-up visits for re-finishing or minor adjustments if needed.
Why Choose us for Bespoke Furniture?
Truly bespoke, made-to-measure work
Every item is designed for your space — from fitted wardrobes for a Stroud cottage to farmhouse dining tables — with joinery details that last.
Family-run, local continuity
A small team operating from our Gloucestershire farm means direct contact with the craftsmen who build your piece and continuity of service.
Finish & aftercare you can rely on
On-site oiling, re-finishing visits and a clear aftercare plan protect your timber investment; public liability cover to £5 million gives extra reassurance.
Handcrafted joinery from sketch to siting. We specialise in made-to-measure timber furniture tailored for Gloucestershire homes, barns and farm conversions — dining tables, fitted cupboards, wardrobes, benches and bespoke items. Materials are chosen to suit the building: quarter-sawn oak for traditional cottages, softwood or reclaimed boards for a rustic feel, and engineered components where stability is required. Our workshop processes include accurate carcass construction, traditional joints such as dovetails and mortise & tenon where appropriate, and careful sanding and gluing to ensure longevity.
Practical finishes and local delivery. We apply oil or hardwax finishes in the workshop and on site so timber performs in real-life conditions. Every project comes with simple drawings for approval, a clear timeline, and aftercare options — including re-oiling and minor repairs — carried out by the same team that made the piece. We work across Gloucestershire, including Stroud, Stonehouse and Cheltenham, and we prioritise good access, careful site protection and a tidy installation.
