We can hang doors you provide or advise on the type you should buy. We prefer to work with doors that are close to the finished condition (correct thickness, rebate and face finish) so we can focus on an accurate fit; if you need sourcing help we’ll recommend suitable materials and hardware.

Simple internal door rehanging can be completed in a few hours, while new external doors or projects requiring frame repairs and workshop trimming will take longer. We’ll give a realistic timescale after the initial site assessment so you know when the work will be finished.

Yes — we cut mortices for mortice locks, fit hinges, strike plates and threshold weatherbars as required. For specialist or compliant items (for example high-security or certain fire-rated hardware) we’ll advise and coordinate with your supplier to ensure correct installation.

We regularly handle heavier exterior doors but select jobs where our workshop setup and team can guarantee correct hanging, appropriate fixings and finishing. Heavy doors often need reinforced frames and careful threshold detail — we’ll outline the requirements during the site check.

We offer follow-up visits to adjust hinges, planes or re-oil edges as timber settles with seasonal change. Our approach is to resolve snagging promptly so doors continue to operate smoothly after fitting.
