Dining Table Making

Dining Table Making
Wilkins Wood Workers has spent 10 years crafting bespoke dining tables for Cotswold cottages, Stroud terraces and modern kitchens across Gloucestershire. Each table is designed around how you live — trestle frames, through-tenons, breadboard ends or mitred corners — and built from selected timbers like oak, ash, walnut or responsibly sourced reclaimed boards. We finish and oil on site, protect floors during fit, and return for aftercare so your table settles and performs for years. NVQ-qualified joiners and public liability cover to £5 million mean the job is done properly and safely.

How It Works
Design Visit
We measure your room, discuss timber, joinery details and usage, then sketch a proposal and timeline tailored to your home in Gloucestershire.
Workshop Manufacture
Skilled joiners hand-cut and assemble the table in our farm workshop, using traditional joints and kiln-dried or reclaimed timber for stability.
On-site Finish & Aftercare
We deliver, fit and oil the table in situ, protect existing floors and offer follow-up maintenance visits to re-oil or adjust as the timber settles.
Why Choose us for Dining Table Making?
True bespoke craftsmanship
Every table is made to measure with traditional joinery — through-tenons, pegged joints and tailored leg profiles — so it fits the room and the way you use it.
Local, family-run workshop
Based on a Gloucestershire farm, the same small team oversees design, manufacture and installation, giving continuity and a local point of contact.
On-site finishing & dependable aftercare
We oil and finish on site to match your flooring and lighting, then return for scheduled maintenance so the timber remains stable and attractive.
Bespoke design built for life — we design dining tables around how you eat, work and entertain. Choose from solid oak, ash, walnut or responsibly sourced reclaimed boards; select leg styles from chunky trestles to slender tapered legs; add practical details such as extension mechanisms, breadboard ends or stepped aprons. Our drawings show exact proportions for your space — Cotswold stone kitchens, Stroud lofts or modern open-plan extensions — so the table complements the property and traffic routes.
Workshop precision, on-site care. Manufacture happens in our family farm workshop using kiln-dried timber and traditional joinery for stability and longevity. We deliver and fit with floor protection, final trimming and hand-applied oils or hard-wearing finishes that bring out the grain while resisting spills. With NVQ Level 3 joinery and Level 2 carpentry qualifications, plus public liability insurance up to £5 million, we provide a practical, reliable service and routine aftercare visits to keep the surface performing.
