Carpentry

Carpentry
Wilkins Wood Workers offers practical, skilled carpentry across Gloucestershire, Stroud, Stonehouse and Cheltenham. NVQ-qualified carpenters with around 10 years' experience undertake structural and finishing work — from stud walls and staircases to fitted wardrobes and porch builds. Work is produced in the farm workshop and installed on site with on-the-spot finishing and a commitment to aftercare. Fully insured (public liability up to £5m) and happy to work with reclaimed or new timber.

How It Works
Initial site visit
A carpenter inspects the property, checks structural tolerances, timber sizes and access, and discusses finish options and timescales with the client.
Workshop fabrication
Bespoke components are cut, jointed and pre-finished in the farm workshop to ensure accurate fits — ready for efficient installation on site.
On-site installation & aftercare
Components are fitted, adjusted and finished on site; the team offers oiling, re-finishing and scheduled check-ups to keep timber performing well.

Carpentry for new builds and refurbishments.Wilkins Wood Workers handle the full range of carpentry tasks: structural joinery such as floor joist repairs, padstones and stair stringers; partition and stud wall installation; door hanging and frame adjustments; fitted wardrobes, shelving and bespoke furniture. Work is measured and prepped in the farm workshop in Stroud before installation, reducing onsite disruption and ensuring tight tolerances.
Materials, finishes and aftercare. The team works with seasoned hardwoods, softwoods and reclaimed timber depending on the job, using traditional joints and modern fixings where appropriate. On-site oiling, lacquer application and re-finishing are offered so timber keeps its appearance and performance. All work is insured to public liability standards up to £5 million and backed by the practical continuity only a small, family-run workshop can provide.
